Sports Massage Level 3

The Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy gives you the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to work as a professional Sports Massage Therapist. Throughout the course, you will learn how to deliver safe, effective, and professional treatments for a wide range of clients. In addition, you will develop the skills needed to support injury prevention, improve physical wellbeing, and aid recovery from injury.

The course is split into five units:

• Anatomy and Physiology for Sports Massage
• Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health
• Soft Tissue Dysfunction
• Professional Practice
• Sports Massage Techniques

After completing this qualification, you will be able to:

• Gain employment as a Sports Massage Therapist
• Obtain professional insurance
• Set up your own sports massage business
• Progress onto the Level 4 Sports Massage Therapy course

Course Requirements:

To join the course, you must be aged 18 or over, physically able to carry out the practical work, and have good communication skills.

Sports Massage Level 4

The Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy builds on the knowledge and practical skills gained during the Level 3 Sports Massage course. As a result, learners develop a deeper understanding of assessment, treatment, and corrective techniques used within professional practice.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to assess clients more effectively, identify common injuries and dysfunctions, and apply more advanced treatment methods with confidence. In addition, the course introduces a range of special tests and further develops your hands on massage skills.

Course Focus:

• Assessment skills
• Understanding common injuries and dysfunctions
• Introduction to special tests
• Development of advanced massage techniques and practical skills
• Patient aftercare advice and corrective exercise prescription

This Qualification Enables You To:

• Progress onto a Level 5 Sports Therapy course
• Progress onto an Osteopathy or Physiotherapy course
• Expand your treatment knowledge and practical skill set
• Work with greater confidence in a clinical environment

Course Requirements:

To enrol onto the Level 4 course, you must have completed the Level 3 Sports Massage qualification. You must also be aged 18 or over, physically able to carry out the practical work, and have good communication skills.
