Who are BTST…

Meet the team at BTST, a multidisciplinary clinic and manual therapy academy based in the beautiful village of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

As a family-run business, BTST is owned and managed by Becky Tyler. Since being founded in 2010, it has grown from strength to strength. Today, it offers a wide range of professional health treatments, as well as high-quality manual therapy training courses.

In addition, BTST Academy is home to a team of expert therapists dedicated to delivering some of the very best manual therapy education. Whether you are new to the industry or an experienced practitioner, we provide support at every stage of your professional journey.

“Being a therapist is one of the best vocations you could have, I say vocation because it’s more than a job! Working with people to help them become pain free and live their best life, is one of the best feelings. Not everyone can say they love their job, so I feel blessed in being able to truly say, I love my job!!

Working with people however, as a manual therapist means you will always be in education as the body is so complex! Anatomy and physiology is one of the most fascinating and frustrating systems, that will surprise you daily, which is another reason why I love it so, No two days or patients are ever the same!

Therefore being able to support therapists in their journey is a privilege!”

Becky Tyler

Becky is a highly qualified, versatile Osteopath.

Becky has worked within health and fitness industry for over 20 years; having started off working within the fitness industry with qualifications in Personal Training, Exercise instruction and Nutrition, she completed a 5 year degree in Osteopathy with the College of Osteopaths, Staffordshire.

As well as being a qualified Osteopath and Fitness Professional, Becky is also qualified in Sports Massage, Acupuncture, Spinal Manipulation, and Cupping therapy, just to name a few.

Becky also appreciates the demands of high level sport, as a previous County Swimmer and current Figure Ice Skater she knows all too well the benefits of therapy as a patient and practitioner.


Having a passion for Sports Massage and helping people live pain free and mobile, Becky founded the BTST Academy with the vision and aim to deliver the best training and education in Sports Massage therapy and complementary CPD courses. Helping the future professionals be the best they can be to ultimately help others to a high standard.​

Becky also is the owner of BTST pain management & Sports Massage Clinic where she treats patients of her own.

Laura

Laura Simmons

Laura has a Sport and Exercise Science Degree from Lincoln University and is a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist at BTST.

As a previous gymnast and dancer Laura understands the importance of sports massage and how it can help your body.

She is qualified in level 4 sports massage, pregnancy massage, cupping, acupuncture as well as kinesiology taping techniques. She is passionate about developing her knowledge and finding the best ways to treat people.

Away from the clinic she loves to spend time with her Family and Friends. As well as frequently visiting London to watch West End Musicals.

BTST Tutor & Assessor

Clare Sargent

Having a passion for the workings of the human body, health and fitness I have built up my knowledge and expertise since I was 19, learning both massaging techniques and becoming a qualified personal trainer. 

After living abroad for a few years I decided to get back in the massaging business and undertook my Level 3 Sports Massage qualification at our very own BTST Academy with Becky Tyler. I loved it so much I went on to do the Level 4, and now assess our new students that come through the academy to complete their Level 3 qualification. 

As well as massaging I offer Personal Training and teach some of the amazing classes here at BTST. Health and fitness is my passion, having completed marathons, half marathons and triathlons, so I practice what I preach!

But for me its all about getting that work-life balance right, and making sure I enjoy plenty of holidays, time with family and friends and ensure I’m looking after myself with regular massage treatments and eating right (well most of the time!).
