Sports Massage Mastery: Foundation to Pro
Step into the world of sports massage with a single, comprehensive programme that carries you from the fundamentals through to advanced therapeutic practice. Whether you’re brand new to massage or already working and ready to deepen your expertise, this course delivers everything you need to practise with confidence, competence, and professionalism.
Fundamental Skills & Techniques
Gain a strong foundation in sports massage principles: pre‑ and post‑event massage, maintaining muscle health, relieving tension, and supporting recovery. You’ll also cover anatomy, physiology, and essential palpation skills to really understand how the body works. (From Level 3.)
Advanced Injury Assessment & Treatment
Build on that foundation to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal issues. Learn how to conduct special tests, perform assessments, plan therapeutic treatments, manage case studies, and safely apply more advanced massage techniques. (From Level 4.)
Treatment Planning & Client Care
Develop skills in designing massage protocols tailored to individual client needs, interpreting assessment findings, and adapting treatment plans over time. Professionalism, ethical practice, and client safety are central throughout.
Hands‑On Practical Experience
Gain extensive practical experience in workshops and supervised sessions. You’ll practise palpation across all regions, learn to identify anatomical landmarks, and refine your touch, strength, and technique in real‑world scenarios.
Online Learning & Support
Full access to online resources and learning tools to complement your in‑person training. Multimedia content, reading, assessments, and continuous support help you master both theory and practice at your own pace.
Delivered over a mix of weekends and specified days (including some weekdays), to allow flexibility for learners balancing other commitments.
In‑person, practical training held at [venue name – e.g. BTST Academy & Clinic, Nottingham], supported by online modules.
Assessments include both practical evaluations and case study/theoretical components.
You’ll receive full accreditation via an awarding body (Active IQ), plus certification in Emergency First Aid.
This course is perfect if you:
Are new to sports massage and want a full training path without having to enrol on two separate qualifications.
Already practise massage or bodywork and want to broaden your scope into musculoskeletal assessment and treatment.
